The ID is 8086:08B2, rather than 08B1 on the Intel retail part. <br /><br />In driver 18.33.17.1, checked all the infs to find my PID. This showed that NETwbw02.sys was the file to patch. Swapped the IDs on both cmps and it works perfectly now :D<br /><br />Installing an unsigned driver on Windows 10 x64 is easy, need to reboot one-off with driver signing verification disabled. You could try to modify the driver as described in the article. I don't know of any way to bypass the write lockout (but then again I've never researched the subject after this article was written so maybe Google will be your friend). If you want something that'll work in your device without hacked drivers then you're probably better off tossing the Intel and buying another one from eBay to be honest. miniPCIe WLAN cards used to cost $20-25 but now you can buy some for ~$5 shipped even.
